Takoma Park Listserves and Message Boards
There are a number of public and private listserves for various neighborhoods in Takoma Park, MD, and Takoma, DC. The following are public resources that we know about. We have not listed lists that are either silent (never used) or hijacked (overused by off topic postings to render them useless).:
- City of Takoma Park Public Message Board
  Community announcements and private questions and requests are often posted here.
- Takoma Voice Open Listserve
  The Takoma Voice, our monthly community newspaper, runs this open listserve. List postings can be viewed on the web by non-subscribers, but only subscribers can post messages.

Montgomery College Takoma Park/Silver Spring Expansion
- Montogmery College has begun the four year plan for expanding the Takoma Park campus into south Silver Spring. Information is available from the college at http://www.montgomerycollege.org/news/hottopics/takomaparkexpansion/

City Council has approved, with the alternate route farther from the tracks near Jequie park, the design plan for the Metropolitan Bike Trail to go from Montgomery College along Takoma Ave. South to the D.C. Line at Baltimore Ave. Click here for information and maps.
